Title: waxoyl removel ?

hello there as you know i am in the process of welding a new front end on my fiat 500l , and my welder friend would like to if possible remove all the old waxoyl etc as its hampering him , and it would make life alot easier if it was gone

does anybody know how to remove it?

please please any help would be fantastic

waxoyl will catch fire if heated up by welding! To remove it is easy, use a paint scraper and a hot air gun, which you can buy from a good DIY store, heat it up and it will bubble then just scrape away... lovely job!

hi you could go to your local motor world and buy some degreaser ,or some times even thinners will remove it. :idea:
