Hi everyone,
Let me introduce myself. I'm John from Bolton. my wife and I are Fiat fans.I have a lovely silver Barchetta and carol has a new Grande Punto. I am looking for a 126 just for fun. My son and I fancy doing some sprints and hill climb meetings in something daft and unusual!
I want something I can do some mild conversion and restoration on and don't want to fork out a fortune. Are there any out there? A rally look-a-like is on the cards so I don't mind if the car is air-cooled or a later BIS model.
Many thanks
John [-/

Hy and welcome, let me just recommend the aircooled model if you intend to do some modding and hilclimbing with it, the bis engine has hardly any mods avaliable and is quite delicate, while there are quite a few sports bits around for the aircooled. Best of luck finding the right one, Gordan [-/

Thanks Gordan,
It seems they have all but disappeared! I'll keep looking. [-/

Pleny on Ebay most of the time. The Bis listed is a lot to pay, very expensive.

Thanks Dajwid,
You're right it is expensive but looks good. I'd rather have an air-cooled car really, as I want to do a rally type conversion.
Cheers

Hi john, only just noticed your post. I'm Kev and I am only in Radcliffe, where in Bolton are you. I have a cracking Aircooled with just 14,000 miles on the clock and mint, it has been parked up at work in Kearsley since I bought it as I've been doing a chrome bumper conversion but only got half the parts I ordered from Axel's so it got put on the back burner + I've been extra busy at work but I hope to have time to make my own brackets and finnish it very soon. Off on holiday for a couple of weeks now but will hope to post some piccies very soon and Ill let you take it for a spin when I put a new motty on it so you can get a feel for the air cooled? (if you haven't got your own by then).
cheers for now
Kevan
