Hi there,
My name is Jan. I live in Berkshire for last couple of years but.... I have never thought there is something like a maluch club here in the UK :D positively surprised I have to say. Especially I am polish and all my life this small car was my hobby. My family was involved in building, managing and developing FSM factory and for all my life from being small kid I was very close with fiat (126, 125).
Some time ago I have brought my favourite toy here (I have couple of them) but as I said - never found any club or meeting to go to. My car is a very rare version as it was produced only for a few months for a socialistic party members... It is Fiat 126p 1982/3 still with 600cc italian engine (they had some of them left for a last edition). It is in immaculate state, never ever anything was replaced except brakes, fluids and now couple of days ago rear shock springs. It still has original "brick orage" paint on it with just few small scuffs, interior is like new with no even one rip or srack and it has done 25.000 miles so far. Setas and carpet are in lovely light brown colour and seats are economic leather of course. There is no even a gramm of rust due to extensive rustproofing in the past and another reason is... he spent more then 13 years not used at all in a dry garage covered with blanket (not kidding, real thick blanket). Anyway it is an example almost impossible to find even in Poland nowdays. Looks almost like rolled of production line yesterday. Might think of selling it to bring over another one so have a look. One thing is for sure - it is unique example and wont be cheap at all 8)
Will try to put some pictures later on. Just wanted to say hello to everybody and I am really pleased you are here. Hope to see some of you soon somewhere.
Another thing is - as I said my family was (and still is) close related with 126p kind so if you have any problems with ANY parts or information i can be as much of help as i can.

welcome to the forum, i too was surprised when i found this little 126 uk heaven, and the friendly crowd that lives there...
anyways looking foreward to seeing photos of your unique 126, and just wondering, why didnt they fit a 650 engine instead of a 600?... :oops:

It was just because 600 had an opinion of being much better and more reliable. And they were italian. In a beginning of 1982 they started to put them in and cars were delivered to Polish Party vips (communist system - the best went to the worse) :-X so thats how come.

The VIPs drove 126es? i thought that the 125p was the polish lux car of the time, the officials in yugoslavia all drove mercedeses, they couldt be bothered with our zastavas...

Well, by that time (mid 80's) it was more about moving around than moving around in luxury. They produced some of them in "better" version and almost all of them went to families related with paty groups. That was meaning of VIP I used. It wasn't for general sale.

Thank you so much for a good words. In the old days these colours were maybe not so good (quality) but so so nice. Love this vitage look especially paint is like untouched. Mniam :)

my lord! that looks awesome!!!! mi likey :D got another question for ya, whats it like driving on pvc seats? im thinking of getting pvc seatcovers, but i think teyre not really confortable during summer heats... :o

I have never driven my maluch more than 200 - 300km in summer at once. So for me it was just fine, can't see any big difference really. I like them - this vintage look, shape and style. Much better for me than any other seats made for 126. But that's me ;D

They are easier to clean, and seem to last much longer than cloth ones.

Yes i like the vintagiality :D of vynil seats too, but im affraid that black vynil in the sun will burn my rear end, to say the least :P

First of all I am not abroad :D I am in Berkshire. And yes, if you look carefully there is a little ammount of them but even for english standards they are becoming to be expensive due to condition.
And mine is 1983 - just look like new :P
Look in FOR SALE - I put over there one which is cheap for this condition and could be here in the UK on Saturday...
