my wife thinks i am a strange anorak type person i live on "planet andy" a parallel universe this is because of my strange love of cars usually odd i lean towards microcars or huge v8 motors i dont normaly have a middle ground
just big so far 9.8l and small 360cc honda-z.this week on the one show someone had writen a book on roundabouts of britain and then a sequel ! she has now apologiesed and thinks car lovers are normal.how do you rate on the sanity

ahem!!...at one time we had 5 Fiat 126Bis and a 500 Giardiniera, within a family of 4 (plus 2 VW golfs and an Iveco camper)...only son's 2 were on road and others were too cheap to ignore from eBay n local papers...is that sane??? but a complete car at £50.00 was cheaper than a replacement exhaust!!! :P

back in 1982 thats how i bought 500`s £50 rough £350-400 nice with mot ah!!!!those were the days
hang on a minute is that the hovis music eyup when i was a lad lived in a cardboard box in a puddle
some poor sods couldn`t aford a puddle we were lucky i suppose

Ive already told my kids when they want to drvie they'll get a 126 and like it! I want a small fleet of them out on the drive- and if they makes me odd then so be it!

You are OK , You have just got a mild tendency towards LORD MOTAGUE SYNDROME :oops:
Common symptoms are fairly full back yard & garage, inability to concentrate on the road when driving past shop windows & bus queues. Mild addiction to Swarfega & latex gloves. Dry mouth, high blood pressure & increased heart rate when bidding on eBay for new aquisitions or anything with Abarth in the title. Inability to use the numbers 3 , 4 & 5 as the sufferer is locked into the sequence 1 , 2 , 6 & so on.
More cronic sufferers will be unable to find a mate unless an infected fellow can be found & "My exhaust pipe is bigger than yours" chav types should be avoided.

I have learnt much from the Great Master Mick, through his teachings one can find enlightenment & having visited his Temple I know that he achieved higher levels by cutting more & more parts from his car with his angle grinder & a diet of rice cooked in old engine oil. </4 </4

It gives me sleepless nights recalling how we actually scrapped some previous 500/126 due to rotten ie. not worth the expense to repair them.......and only kept a few parts for the next ones!!!..... :o

yh its called being a petrol head ! im the other way round . im 17 with 2 cars and 2 proper motorbikes 1 honda cub 90 and my favourite is some french moped where you have to pedal to start the beast of an engine :D

yh its called being a petrol head ! im the other way round . im 17 with 2 cars and 2 proper motorbikes 1 honda cub 90 and my favourite is some french moped where you have to pedal to start the beast of an engine :D
I am slightly confused. Do you own "2 proper motorbikes" in addition to the Cub 90 & the moped, or do you consider the Cub 90 & moped not to be proper?
I hasten to add that I am a proud owner of a Cub 90, and consider far more manly than much of the two-wheeled rubbish to be found on our roads.

i consider a honda cg125 . and bmw650gs to be proper bikes. apart from i cant ride the latter one cos of some law against me . but funnily enough the bike i ride the most is the honda c90 just cos it never breaks down and runs on fresh air . i like to call them pot pots not bikes

What's normal?
A fiat 126, a yamaha xs1100, a yamaha yzfr600, an ajs model 18, a matchless G80CS, a bsa bantam, a mini bike, a mini trike, three cats, one dog, four chickens...I could go on.. :P
Now an allotment... :o
