Anyone done it that has a 27mm holesaw I could borrow ;D
Seems a bit daft to pay nigh on £15 for the saw and arbor just to make 1 hole :o

You can also use a Dremel. So did i:

Ahh but that also involves buying a Dremel ... which I can't afford right now ;)

lol. try a scalpel then? just cut out a hole, smaller than the outer edge of the cigy lighter, and push it in?
where may i ask do you plan to put a lighter on a aicooled? 8)

A scalpel? Through metal?? I'd be there for a month!! ;D
I'm installing it just to the right of the steering wheel, I used the scalpel to cut away the foam faux-leather stuff and have drilled a pilot hole, I guess I could increase the size of the pilot hole and just go at it with a hacksaw blade, it won't be pretty but I don't suppose that matters as long as it holds in tight [-/

I once had a situation like you: No tool, no time. I took an old hexagon socket, formed four teeth with my Flex, and welded a drill into the square. For one trial it will work.

ooo... youre drilling thru the metal... the bis has a plastic circle that is supposed to house the lighter...
....wait.... you are actually drilling a hole on a beautiful, old school, 126?? blasphemy...!!! :P :P :P

I know  but I already had to fettle the engine bay a little to get the new exhaust to sit properly so the blasphemy has already commenced in earnest, and at least this is useful for more reasons than just smoking (which coincidently is not something I do) [-/

That's an excellent idea :D

I eventually decided to just use the biggest standard drillbit I could find in the shed and a hacksaw blade. Then once the majority of the hole was open smoothed it out with a file and popped it in - sorted :)
Should have got a pic, I'll grab one tomorrow [-/

argh, no holes!! you should have made up a mounting bracket to fit some existing screws.
my aircooled has a plastic plug in the centre console which you pop out to put in a cigarette lighter.. but it's got a late interior
