Hi,
i'm Andi from Germany. I live in Erlenbach near Heilbronn near Stuttgart and work at AUDI in Neckarsulm. Therefore me and my wife own two Neckarsulm-made cars: An A6 Avant Quattro and a Porsche 924S. We also got some Ducati, Guzzi, Morini and others.
But here i am with my 1973 FIAT 126A: Rosso Corallo 165, 650cm³, Weber 32 DCOF, Pittatore-cam, Supersprint, Lumenition-ignition, 4.50x12 Borrani with 145/155, 5-speed gearbox, discbrakes,...
We also own a 500 giardiniera, wich is in work, and a 500 L, waiting for whatever...
British car-scene is pretty cool, and by this way i hope to broaden my horizon. I hope this was a kind of bearable English...
Regards to all, Andi

Hi Andi, Welcome to the forum ^8)

hello Andi, a 5 speed gearbox in a 126 you say? interesting... **-

Yes, first i had the 8/41 diff., wich made the 5th gear as fast as the 4th on the originial box. I drove this gearbox with my old engine, with a Dell'orto 32-28, and the rpm at 145 km/h was about 7000. My new engine should have its power at less rpms, and so i came back to 8/39.
I also upgraded to Tripods, but since then i have a little vibration. Is it possible, that the original parts have eaten up this vibrations, and the Tripods do not?
-
its very possible as the drive shaft couplings are described as "silent blocks"...
-
Damned! In German they are called "Ruckdämpfer"! How should i know...

Welcome, your English is very good and your engine sounds awesome! I was considering some tripods for my car but i am not sure now.
