hello all listen to this one, as i am a jobless slacker and have more time on my hands than sense i decided to make a straight through exhaust and try it on my polski for a giggle...well i put it on and loudly went for a pootle around some back lanes to see what it was like. pulling out my road i found plod facing me from the road opposite so with the revs as low as possible i pulled out and banged it into fouth so it didnt make as much noise and drove of like an old man... got onto the a road and off i went like a demented harley on steroids was the loudness rating! it did make a bit of a difference engine wise also, as i slowed down with my pipe popping like a loon at a round about i spotted another copper car infront so i swung around as quietly as i could and roared off in the opposite direction. quite pleased with my sortie i came ragging it down to my favourite roundabout near me and as i came slidding arse out full roar on under the flyover that covers it who was there but mr traffic copper! i had no chance and lifted off the gas but to no avail as my exhaust was putting out flame calling for mr policeman to blue light after me! well like a good boy i pulled over and tried to explain my little experiment in progress ...to this he was quite good and commented on my handywork being illegal but would not nick me . however.... he then done a vehicle check and found my car didnt exist! ooohh so he walked around the car and looked at my rear plate ...and found they dont match...lol,oopps...he called in with this new number and found it didnt exist....oooo oooo oooohh . now i am a little bemused just as he is as i bought this car from a fellow club member lol. but i have a v5 insurance etc!! so mr oh so clever policeman checks the tax disc and finds another reg number!! and calls this in... and the car finally did exist! what had happened is that after buying the car i needed some new plates so i went to halfords....ha ha and the poor girl put the no,s 338 on the front 833 on the back and i never looked cos i have too many cars and dont remember the plates ever! for two years nearly i have drove around like this! and the number should have been 388!!! doh!!! i have had a new set of relacement plates made up by halfords free of charge of course ...... also no one spotted on the forum lol look in the picture part of the forum and look lol.

paul i cut a standard exhaust box off to reveal the down pipes cut the baffles off the bottom then welded two pieces of trampoline leg.....together to make a single exit straight through exhaust lol

did it make any difference?

picked up quicker and top end was better or so it seemed now its skulking in the corner of my garage i shall find a bike silencer and give that a go and see what happens. i did have a sports exhaust for my bis waterboiler and that did make a difference , you can get them in germany on kraut bay.

looks pretty cool, any1 tried be-baffling a bis exhaust and adding a bigger pipe to the end?
mine chop mine in half and give it a go?
