Title: Full restoration of buzzbomb 2
Post by: cool126 on October 08, 2008, 01:06:45 AM
Hi guys,

Hope everyone is well, sorry I havent been on in months but I have been rather busy. Hopefully you will agree with the that its been worth all the money and time I have spent on buzzbomb 2 which i nought from 126dave about 5 months ago.

So this is how it was when I bought and I am sure some of you will recognise it.

Two weeks after owning it I decided to fully restor it..... ( it seemed like a good idea at the time)

I started by stripping it and sorting out the dents....

Once I started inspecting the car closer I noticed that the front bottom wings were suffering with rust so that had to be sorted before anything else was done!

And then here are the rest of the progress up to now...

WOW!!!      Really nice mate... wery nice... ... nice...  :D  :D

only one question... Why gold?? Of all the classicky colors you could have chosen for the resto you chose this one? But then again its just my opinion and its your car, so the main thing is that your happy with it... everything else... WOW...

oh, and are you thinking about fitting bumpers on? Cos a set of chromed ones would look smashing...

The colour is one thing that I wanted to be special, and I just love this colour at night or in the garage it looks like a plain yellow but outside in the sun it just sparkles and you can see hints of red and orange. I just love it.

With regards to bumpers I'm not sure yet I quite like the clean lines!

You're a better spray painter than me.

I threw my toys out and just painted it....red...not shiny red but it has paint and wont rust.

I decided to keep Buzzbomb 2, I had amazing cash offers but I couldnt let it go......

SOOOOOOOO I have a new plan and which I have been researching for nearly a year.....

Its going to have a heart transplant very soon but unlike 99% of other projects no cutting will be involved and I "should" be able to return all the original parts and motor without too much work.

Anyway here is how it looks now and I will be looking to update my progress as soon as I get some more parts I need.
