Hello and greetings!
I'm new on this forum, and I want to introduce myself and my fiat. I'm Pawel and the pictuser below show my car:) It's Fiat 126, produced in 1996, one of the latest versions. I have it since it was new.
Here are some photos from the previous years:

That's not a problem - in Poland you can have one for about 60 pounds. You just need to come here:)
make sure u use the garage section to post a lot of pics... Very Happy
Unfortunatelly I havent got any pictures from the repairs, but as soon as I find any other interesting ones I'll post them here :D

Im waiting for croatia to get into the EU (dont think itll be so soon :( cos inporting a car is rather complicated... taking it from there to here is the smallest prob of em all.. (dont think i can inport a car older than 7 years... some stupid regulations :(
you can put these photes in the garage, for easy access, and snap some new ones, interrior, exterrior, boot, engine...
is the el any quieter than the older carb models?
cheers

ok, I'll do it as soon as I have some time
is the el any quieter than the older carb models?
It is quieter. It has thicker sound - insulating material than the older versions. But mine is much louder inside - it hasn't got almost any upholstering inside
-
cool, just one more question before i stop bugging you, how much did the car cost wheni it was new, i couldnt find ths piece of info anywhere...
(ine euros please, not zlots  )
-
it was 12.595zlotys in 1996.
Euro costs 3.46zl, so it's about 3640E :)
-
god why wasnt i born before??? a new 126 for 4000 €....
now the cheapest car (new) i can get is a yugo which costs 5500 € and is ugly as hell :(
what are the odds they start production again... :D
-
Greetings Brother.
Your car looks fantastic.
Big Respect to all our Polish cousins......Norman
-
hey mate got another question for ya. just found this photo on the net.
now what function do these levers serve. i thought the el doesnt have a manual choke, and im pretty sure it starts by key and not by pullin on one of these ?
-
Now that's an easy, peasy one.
To pull the top lever up (red) directs hot air into the car. To pull the bottom lever (white) upwards operates the choke.
Laters....Normski
-
But its an el model, they still had a choke in year 2000???!!! The VW bug dint have it (well later models anyways)...
-
Most cars have automated choke - probably that's why you think that more modern cars don't have it.
-
yeah, know that, why couldnt they install it on a 126?? dont think its that complicated... :(
