Title: Offensive Language.

Look away now. The following is even more offensive. Because of recent plaintive cries for Bis gear boxes together with attendant references to hens' teeth and rocking horses I decided to e-bay my spare Bis gearbox which also included drive shafts, transmission and bell housing, all cleaned up and in gwo. I only had one bid which was the starting price, £5. The buyer arrived this afternoon. When I suggested that he may wish to renew the inner rubber boots because they were borderline he replied that there was no problem because he was only buying to strip down and sell on for scrap. I did think of telling him no deal but then the spectre of negative feedback loomed. Where were you all ?.
banjo.

Oh no!
I feel even worse now! That gearbox would've had a lovely long life and countrywide miles in my car - it was so colse, but for crap technology not enabling my bid to go through.

What's all this scrapping of classic car bits
126 Bis box used for scrap metal and an escort mk2 bonnet being cut up for patching.
