Just thought i`d pop my head in and say hi and ask some advice. I`m on the lookout for a bis and i just thought before i start id ask how much i can expect for around 500 quid?

Welcome, you could pick up a fairly tidy bis with T&T or an aircooled in need of attention i would think...wait for the right one they are out there...

not a bis but given the choice I'd go for an aircooled-

Welcome.  Its quite a good time to buy and there are a few to choose from.  What will you be using it for? I ask this because if you want to tune or play with the engine it is alot easier (especially parts wise) with the aircooled.
