Title: Zywiec Polish Lager

a big off licence near me who specialize in buying bulk lots of continental lagers just bought in some Zywiec Polish Lager and it was on promotion, so i thought i'd have some of that, its 5.6 vol and is one of the best lagers i've tasted with a kick, its not like most of the wishy washy stuff that brewed under licence in England and has alot more taste than stella.
Nice bitter taste with a full body, has anybody else tasted any European lagers that we all should look out for.

get yourself down tescos or asda they have lots of lagers i have made it my mission too drink my way round the world of beers :)
Zywiec is a very nice taste and very refreshing, i have found a couple of bulgarian beers that i like :)

try ecu its a bad bad brew , or mort subite , or double jamesons and double baileys over ice ( warren likes these ,  dont you mate..)  :wink:

Try LECH and tell me what you think. For me it is better than Zywiec.

Thats a vicious rumour that mick, i tried a couple of those, and only  managed to be hung over 'til 3pm the next day :roll: , i mean, cant you find a stronger brew than that mate??, bring it. :)

I used to enjoy Estrella Galicia, when i worked in La Coruña. It was the local beer in Galicia a part of north spain.

what sort of work did you do in la coruna ? thats where the spanish legion are based . i wanted to join them but were closed to foreigners after around 88.

i worked on a trawler for about a year. It was many years ago, can't remember anything about the legion.

Polish beers are good - zywiec, tyskie, and lech are the ones sainsbury's sell
Staropramen is also a good beer, its czech I think.
Budweiser budvar is supposed to be good too, its the REAL budweiser.

now you guys should try Grolsch, its not Polish (Dutch) but it dont matter where the beer is from, as long as its good (plus it comes in a really cool looking bottle :P)
