When I was a member of the Fiat 500 club in Scotland, none of us were able to travel to the well visited English meets so used to plan our own. They were usually low key events and rarely involved a motor museum or motor show, but gave us all a chance to sample some country roads and talk Fiat.
We each took it in turn to arrange a meet in an area close to us. This make organising events alot easier.
I'd like to suggest this as a way forward for the club as I think we all need to be a bit more pro-active in organising events.
Thanks
Michael

good idea, but i think a stint in jersey where its £300 + just to get to the UK would wake you lot up to getting to events that some one else has organised for you and all for a couple of tanks of fuel....i've said it before,i cannot believe the excuses you lot give for not bothering to suport the shows.
im ready for the slagging so go ahead.

No slagging from me, I'm a guilty party!
But it has to change, it's such a shame otherwise

hey Dave
hows this for an excuse? mine doesn't go at present...ha ha ha ha... sorry for that I do hear what your saying but I found with most things of this nature is that when other things come up such trips always get pushed into the backgroud, such is the nature of life me thinks
cheers Doug

yeh i hear you too, thats me just being frustrated at things at the mo,but you do get my drift tho eh?
-
Indeed I do Dave and unless we make an effort to do such shows etc the mark will remain second best to the 500 as people like to buy cars that have a following as it were, its a kind of tribal/groupee subconcious thing..mind you having said that I most upset at you (being Dave) breaking such a gorgous little 126 as the parts passed on will never add up to such a nicely put together package and without such high spec 126's around values will never increase as people are scared to invest where they will get no return or at least their money back.... but alas you must do what you do looooool
cheers Doug

its not broken yet....but at some point i have to leave jersey and if it doesnt sell what can i do? send the whole car to the dump? give it away?
the best plan at the mo is to return it to almost standard and flog it for 300 or so,then sell the hot bits onwards

yeah Dave's giving away his car free to one carefull owner.....he he he he .......,
Im first in the que for the buzz2 giveaway
Cheers Dave good luck with the sale :D
