Have you done the saucepan test with it? what makes you think it's buggered? :???:
Mine's the origional and still working.
Ask this chap if he has any left, I've seen them in his ebay shop in the past month and not that expensive.  http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Peter-Autoteile_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ0QQftidZ2QQtZkm Bookmark him and keep looking.
I've bought a remote central locking kit from him for the Bis  :D (posh or what?) I'll let you know what it's like when I fit it.
Steve.

Title: Thermostat from Ricambio.
Post by: banjomandolin on June 25, 2007, 11:52:30 PM
I bought one from Ricambio last Sept. It came complete in new aluminium housing and is different to the arrangement I removed. The pin end of the thermostat is precisely located in a small mushroom shaped protrusion and the other end is held by two extension arms. I fitted it together with 50/50 antifreeze and it performed perfectly. I ran the car from Sept. '06 to Feb. 07  and then lost patience with the rusty body so I scrapped the car but kept all the mechanicals.
Total cost was £19-38 incl. p & p & vat but without discount which I forgot to ask for.
