This website is made by a guy who`s an owner of `77 126p. It`s dedicated to lovers of the classic 1973-80 version (actually in Poland we had 6 versions- 600, 650, 650S-Standard, 650K-Komfort, 650L-Lux and 650 I for invalid). There are practically all informations about the model, like colors and their numbers, equipment, very interesting reprints of picrures of brochures and of old papers (see at "Prospekty" & ""Fiat na starej fotografii") .
But there is one thing you can`t find at any other 126 related websites, as I think.
Crashtest made on Fiat 126 in 1976 year (there were also 6 others cars, look at the picture). Crashtest were made by German "Auto Motor und Sport" at the speed 40 km/h. You can download the video! Got to "Pobierz" and right click save target as.
We don`t have to guess what was the result. But I was surprised that heavier and bigger VW Beetle offers very similar safety as 126 :!: Why were these 2 cars losers? Cause seatbelts failed ("dummys" hit with their heads in front window and chests smashed steering wheels). See at the 4 picture.
Well, my cousin who`s got Beetle always laughed at safety in my car. She has to see the result of the test :D .
But remember guys, always have the 5 wheel in the trunk :) - it takes the energy while crashing (they even write it in this test).
