Title: Squashed exhaust tip... why???

The squashed exhaust tip really bugs me, does anyone know why it is like this?

I think im gonna cut it off. anyone else done the same? It will increase the power to weight ratio if nothing else!!!!

Just a guess it could be a venturi? which increases velocity of the exhaust gases. and may even improve the performance?

someone suggested it aids back pressure ? i dont know but if it bothers you that much dont look at it!!

as far as i'm aware its done to make the the exhaust a little quieter like the old morgans fish tails

if you remove it, they sound less putt putt!! personally Id leave it as it is.

the bigger hole is to let all that steam out  :lol: if it were a smaller hole you might get some forward motion though with steam power :lol:
