I was at the Stoneleigh Historic Motorsport show a few weeks back and got chatting to the people involved in this project here to recreate the team 126's from the early 1970's!

Apparently the first demo car for the UK is being driven over in May by the Top Gear team - probably the first time a 126 has been on the show.  I'm currently investigating which races series this would be eligible for here in the UK!    :D

Any more info on this project out there?

hi there, i posted up a link sent to me a few weeks back, into on the forum somewhere i'll have a look. It was the team who sent it to me.

idnt klnow top gear was involved, got anymore info on that? Would be good if we could get our club on there with members cars.

Hi Chris - that's them.  I spoke to the UK agent to sort out a test drive on a circuit - he told me that the demo car was planned to be brought over by Top Gear!

Any guesses what the time will be round the TG Dunsfold track???

hi,it should be really good as they voted the 500 as the sexiest car,they cant really be that hard on the 126 as there basically brothers just more modern and square, :wink:

but clarkson just goes for cheap larfs,watch they dont burn one or somthing,the guys a txxt,and the show is worse.i was hoping after the ''hamsters'' prang they would bin the whole idiotic thing.

Yeah hopefully im going to work with these guys for short placement next year.

Could go either way with the top gear thing.  They will either love it or rip the piss out of it in my opinion.  They are actually genuine replicas of the real rally cars though.  They have been working with the guy who originally built them.

i like the engine steady,and fresh air feed to carb,from inner wing or another body vent?.... :P you can be our tuning mole while there!!!!!
