Title: Wheel allignment pins
Post by: ciaoflyer on February 04, 2007, 12:29:27 PM
Hi following on from alloy wheels part 2, added pics now on that thread.

To get my spacers to fit I have removed the small allignment pins on the rear wheel.  Is this OK?  My wheel won't fall off will it?

Now spacer if fitted wheel no longer rubs!

my rims are slightly wider than standard at the hub,i would say around the 5mm mark,i've had no problem with hub bolts coming loose etc,and i really push my car hard, just make sure you check regulary for the first 1000 miles as the wheels bed in to the hubs/drums.....im not condoning or saying your safe tho, thats your choice!!!!...

oh,and dont forget ''copperslip'' or something on the back of the alloy wheel.........thats stops the wheel corroding to the steel/iron hub.

your rims do seem to have lots of inset, defo ex FWD ones
