Title: BLUEBELL HAS GOTTA GO!!

I am very reluctantly putting my 1990 FIAT 126 BIS up for sale  :sad:
She has been stood on the driveway for the past 6 months as i dont have the time or the knowledge to get her back on the road & I'll eat my hat if I can find someone who will help me!!!
She was running perfectly well before temporary retirement although the throttle was sticking a little...
Im no expert but i was told she is a good specimen she had complete brake overhaul and her undercarriage checked out in October 2005 and was told she is solid.
Im selling as a non runner as MOT has expired and she is SORN
It would make me soooooooo happy :D  if she goes to a good home where she can be fixed & put back on the road...i cant bear to see her stood rotting any longer!

IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN BLUEBELL??........ COS I GONNA HAVE TO GIVE HER A RUN ON EBAY WHICH I DONT WANNA DO COS SHE WILL SURELY END UP BEING DISSECTED AND END UP AS A GO CART!!..... :sad:

Hi Paula, does the engine run ?. is the car pushable ? Have you parked it with the handbrake on :sad: Are the brakes seized on.

I've not started her for a while but the engine ran fine before she was parked up (about 6 months ago)the only problem was a sticky accelerator.
I'll get some piccies and will be happy to email them on request i will also try get her started this wkend (weather Permitting!) and put an update on here of her condition

if it has a sticky accelerator pedal that means the cable is frayed and soon to expire. no major agro just a job to be done before it goes on the road.

The sticky accelerator is more likely caused by lack of lubrication between the accelerator shaft and the steel tube it runs in under that removable plate which is bolted to the floor pan beneath the driver's feet. It is one of those maintenance items which is neglected because of "out of sight, out of mind". The complete shaft and tube have to be removed and separated fom each other, then cleaned and regreased and it is not a 15 minute job.

ive been there seen it and done it . and then my cable broke because it was the frayed cable making it "stick". trust me i know . and a broken cable in the middle of nowhere is no fun. and i have patented the bis13 hand operated accelerator gizmo. so you must pay me to use it! :D

I've had two "sticky throttles". Both were caused by lack of maintenance. I simply didn't know it need doing!

Oh, and the linkage broke once, so i fixed it with a large paper clip.

Still there when I sold it. OOOOPPS!
