Hi Folks,
Have a 500 i'm restoring http://www.dropshots.com/ger I'm looking for a nicer set of rims. I'm told, (please correct me if I'm wrong), that I can use late aircooled 126 or BIS parts to get a more popular stud pattern.
Does anyone have these parts cluttering up their garage?

Cheers

no youre right you can get better wheels if you do this, i.e. fiat x1/9 cromodora alloys, or any of the newer fiat range, like cinquecento or seicento alloys.

to be quite honest it would be best to buy new as the old stuff will be rusted, worn, and bloody expensive to post as they are heavy . check up the prices from a good motor factors you might be suprised at how much they are . i have these parts on a car i am scrapping but to be honest i would nt use them for my car. cheers and welcome mick

Hi Mick,
I would, of course, replace all of the braking componants, its all of the other bits and pieces that are needed, (and I'm still not sure what that list is :)
I have all new flexis, wheel clys, shoes, M/c and reservoir sittin here in a box, ready for my 500 resto.
The wheel upgrade is in my future plans, but I lke to start collecting refurbing early !
Cheers

you would need, stub axel and hubs which are the main things, you need to speak to a guy called Michael O'donnel a club member who has a 500 with everything 126 underneath inc engine.
he told me once what he did, but ive forgotten

Chris
