Title: Slow indicators

I've just swapped from dynamo to alternator and my indicators are extremely slow and lights seem a little dim. Car starts and runs fine but I can't work out why I've got this problem. I've done away with the regulator as per very specific instructions for re-wiring so don't understand how I've got this problem. The indicators seem to work better the more the engine is revving which I might have expected from a dynamo but surely not an alternator.

my '87 a/cooled does the same....all electrics are standard....i just put it down to dodgy earths etc and live with it.....i've prob also got the wrong wattage bulbs etc  :wink:
