How tricky is remocal of a screen on a 126?   I've got some rust coming and sooner or later the screen will have to come out to sort it.

I've done 2CV screens and they are easy, am i likely to face problems or what?

removal? easy fly down a motorway and get a 'hoodie' (aka a feckin hooligan shhite) to chuk a breeze block on you...............................

seriously tho?,no more greif than the 2cv.done both an more,take it easy and no sweat,i guess you have a BIS? for some reason they rot more around the lower screen edge.......they go around the drainage grommet,the guy who fitted them must have had a blunt screw driver!!!!

be prepared for a bigger hole than you thought................ :wink:

Im used to rusty cars, its ALWAYS a biiger hole than you thought :-)

peel the rubber back slightly and pour in some washing up liquid it makes it easier to remove the screen as the rubbers lubricated
removals much the same as a 2cv but as a tip use and old blanket to cover the bonnet incase the screen pops out too quickly this way you wont scratch the car and the screen is protected if it hits bonnet :lol:

easy push the windscreen in the upper top corner and it will start to pop out it comes out like a 3rd baby out its mother!! its putting them back in thats the fun......

Take care if it's a laminated screen they tend to crack very easily if it's toughened glass there's no problem.

get two blunt screw drivers to lever up the rubber from inside and tuck it under,  starting from the corner then, push the corner out, (be carefull)

matt i have a wind screen spair if you do smash it , i also have wheels /tryes for a bis. i have pm d you have a look.

I have removed them with my feet. Take both front seats out, sit on the floor and push the screen with both feet. Carefully.

ive hear of using feet on screens before, i guess it easy to use too much force that way?
