Could someone please tell me if they know the colour of the Main Beam wire on a 1988 126 BIS and if they do where is the best place to splice in to it to fit a set of driving lamps. Cheers Daz.

you wanna use a relay for the driving lights, otherwise you will dim your headlights.

Thanks as still working it out, I have the relay, switch and correct wiring plus in-line fuse, just dont know which wire to splice. Cheers Daz. :???:

i had some spots on my bis but cant remember , ive looked on what remains of it and i connected the blue (if you have the purpose built ring kit) to the GREEN wire on the main beam. the rest i cant remember at all!! however this will only bring the lights on when you have main beam . if you want these on all the time you must go through the side lights i think. sorry hope you can find something usefull from this waffle.

yes the main beam is right for driving lights, by law they must be dipped all the time (which makes them a bit usless) or only come on with the main beam.
Just checked the wiring diagram out; the right full beam is green, and the left is green and black, if you use these wire thay are after the fuse box. it would be better to use the dark blue between the main beam relay and the fuse box to switch your relay, then use the number 6 fuse for your driving lights.
