Hi all, is there any way to get the drums off My Bis without using that massive puller the cdrom is showing me. Thanks in advance Darrel
-
hi Darrel, yea, once you've taken out the one 10mm and one wheel locator bolts.it should come relativly easy,i tap mine gently then use two screw drivers between the back dust sheild and drum, take it easy and it should come off no problems
-
great thanks Dave. i shall have a play tomorrow Cheers
-
It was very easy, I cleaned all the dust out and it went straight through its MOT. Problem is the buyer on e-bay has not got very good english and is driving it absolutley miles home. Also coming at 9pm at night., started going on about if its not immaculate hes walking away etc etc. Starting to worry now  If I dont move fast im going to lose that aircooled the guy is holding for me
-
if hes bought it on ebay he has got to buy it , i hope you made him put a fat deposit on it thats non returnable. that way they think twice about pulling stunts , failing that knock him out and leave your foot print on his head.
-
Well he has just taken it, but he wasnt sure. He wasnt young, but he was asking things like how fast will it go on motorways, acceleration etc. It took him over an hour to look around it. Bearing in mind the car has only done 150 miles in the last 3 years I wouldnt want to rev it that hard just yet....................

SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE
He has now started moaning.......Basically he has checked the water this morning and its got mayo in it. (The headgasket was done 2000 miles ago although 2 years ago, but was absolutly perfect when it left me) He was moaning that the spare tyre was flat (Even though he has pumped it up since and its fine and he had no need to change it anyway) and that the air filter screw that holds it onto the carb worked loose and came off. OH NO ITS THE END OF THE WORLD
-
if the car has nt been used for a while or for only short journeys this could explain the cream but then again e bay is a lottery and is sold as seen (or not). tell him you have spent the money and its tough titty
-
Personally I'd leave this man negative feedback for being a twat.
I have bought a car withought viewing, but you have to accept it as a risk if you haven't looked at it first. Secondly, the man must have had a screw loose if he thought he was going to find an immaculate fiat!!
-
yer nowt he can do about it, and about head gasket, its probs like mic says condensation, ive had that before scared the hell out of me!
Just enjoy your new 126 now Darrel its his problem now. Not as though the car came with a warrante
regards
Chris

I would not worry about it! Like others have said buying on ebay is a risk it's an auction and if the ad was not misleading there's nothing much they can do about it!
I would refrain from giving a negative at this point, if you do chances are you will get one back!
Yor in the right, so forget about it!
-
Well we have played a bit of e-mail tennis, but he is just saying ive conned him etc etc, the car is beyond repair if the headgasket is gone etc etc.
New car coming next week. I spoke to the guy and I just caught him as he was going to sell it to someone else as it took me a while to get the money together from this guy with the bis.
-
i bought mine off ebay-guy told me exhaust blowing, found out after id flown to the uk with one way boat ticket that headgasket had gone..............car in brighton, boat in weighmouth.........1 cylinder....im sure you can imagine im still not normal after that journey.but i never bitched to the vendor, sold as seen thats it,take it on the chin.
tell him to phuq off

Sounds like Bis riddens to it  .
As everyone said eBay is a lottery, i bought mine on the phone, didn't see it, Payed by paypal. my brother picked it up and I didn't get a look at what I had bought for over a month.
If the guy had wanted a mint 126 he should have forked out 2-3 grand.
What does he expect for £2?

two cars in poland for £2 , bogof. i have bought 3 126 s on e bay . 1st was a total nightmare , full of rust , siezed brakes , half a carb, flat tyres, battery flat, no wipers, fuel pump shot . was in wales owner left it in yard for me with documents hidden in a horsebox!! (he had to go somewhere at short notice, hide i think..). with mot. mmmm 2nd from member in eton would have been nice if he had told me that the clutch had gone ......managed to get it home , very slowly... 3rd this yellow thing , no back lights kerbside , no brake lights , no reverse lights , no fog .thermostat kaput . not too bad but i now have to go and sit in my local dvla office as it must be changed back to private light goods taxation class as it is registered as being disabled. i love ebay and all who use it!!!!!

I know I was lucky. This aircooled needs a bit of work, but runs OK 1 years MOT (god knows how) but body is solid and despite being white I'm really happy.
