Hi everyone,
Today I've removed the top of the valve housing for the first time since the rebuild in April (3000km ago).
I was a bit disappointed to find a lot of black stuff (see picture) on both cylinders and the valves. The exhaust valves have a white colour.
Is this normal? Or does this mean that there is a problem with the carb (A/F ratio) or the ignition/timing? Or is the engine burning a bit of oil?
Luckily both cylinders are symmetrical.
Best regards,
Bert
