Hello all. Just removed the radiator. Not the easiest thing to do - as a 126 virgin. Small leak. have yet to establish where precisely. Does anyone stock new rads or do i need to find a rad repair man? Secondly, in removing the rad it looks like i have dislodged a wire in the alternator area. it is yellow wire, seemingly all on its own. Anyone shed any light on where it goes? Thanks for any useful replies.

This is a brilliant sealer.. https://www.kseal.com/uk/products/k-seal or as you say get it repaired. I've never seen new rads, just used on ebay.
If I remember I'll have a look on mine on the yellow wire.

I've used that kseal as Andy says it's brilliant it's sorted my head gasket out ....was gonna strip it down and do it but so far so good...👍👍

Thanks for the replies. I had the rad tested and it had a small leak but was also blocked. I'm going to have a new core which will cost a bit more than a secondhand one but should prove more reliable. I found a local rad specialist in the back of beyond but near to me.
If anyone can shed light on the yellow wire I shall be very grateful - or if anyone has a 126 Bis near Norwich I could drop over to view. Many thanks.

Post a photo of the offending yellow wire, which will help in assisting what the wire is for.

Found this connector near the radiator/alternator area, the plug side has 2 blacks and 2 yellows with black stripes. The socket side has a black and a yellow.
Hope it helps.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Radiator has come back after a new core so I thought I would fit it and compare your photo. Mine is exactly the same has your photo it no missing wire.
Then I went under the car again and noticed that one of the sensors ( don't know which) was missing a lead! Problem solved!
I am very grateful for your help. Many thanks and best wishes.
