Got the cylinder head off and noticed this engine had a blown head gasket for some time. The right cylinder has filled with water/coolant causing some visible damage. The bottom half as pictured isn't smooth at all. Do I need to replace the whole cylinder jacket or is there an alternative to save it? Left cylinder is OK.
Also noticed the head bolt studs are rusted and quite a bit has corroded away. Are they still useable or do they need to be replaced?

Replace the bolts. There is a lot of material missing!
The bores look damaged. You should be able to have them rebored +0.2mm with new pistons and rings.

I agree get those headbolts changed and to re-bore the barrels and fit new pistons. Dont forget to have the cylinder head resurfaced as well.

Thank you so much for the advice. I am having difficulties finding the bolts. Would they be the same as the 210mm ones from the aircooled model?
Hoping to do all this work myself. Instead of a re-bore (assuming the other parts are in good shape) would it be possible just to fit a new cylinder liner found here:
https://webshop.fiat500126.com/en/engine-parts-und-gaskets/pistons-und-cylinder/cylinder-liner-700-cc-brand-goetze
Has anyone replaced this yourself with simple tools and have any advice?
Will be removing more parts soon so will update if anything else looks concerning.

I'm not sure about the bolt lengths of the BIS, but since you need to take them off anyway, you may as well measure them and see if they are 210mm.
I see what you're trying to do with the piston/barrel replacement, but It's not a simple swap unfortunately.
You will need a hydraulic press to remove the old sleeves and press in the new ones. you may need to machine some spacers for the press to make sure you get a good fit. (if you damage the ends of the bore it's going in the bin.)
I would want to measure the diameter of the bores and check they are in spec.
The bores will need to be honed
Then you can fit the new piston rings and pistons. (I expect the pistons are a bit damaged.)
If I was in your position I would talk to a local engine shop. a 0.2mm rebore might be cheaper than new liners + labour for fitting a honing

Or you could try this method ofr removing the cylinders:

Send a message to Piotross he may be able to help with the parts that you need.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I have decided to try and get a set from the aircooled model. Will then rethread and cut down and hope for the best. Will report back once I get a chance to complete.
