Title: Relay or no relay for coil/ignition.

Hello all.

My 126 with wasted spark ignition has a relay connected near the coil. Is this supposed to be?. I thought it was just simple blue wire to coil positive and dizzy black wire to coil negative etc.

Why would someone fit a relay?

Update:
Had nothing to do with coil. It was the starter motor relay and associated wiring loom.
