Title: Loose in steering box
Post by: Neville Minuti on September 09, 2018, 02:19:18 PM
Good afternoon
I have an FSM 1987 126 LHD. It has a loose on the steering. The part number on the box is 1A 126AB0C1. I am able to find various boxes but they all start with any prefex other than 1A.  What is the meaning of thyye prefix? Any help from where I can buy a good steering box? Kingpins have been renewed this week. Many thanks, neville

Hi
Thank you
Seems there are 2 types for the 126. Its the end shaft, steering column, entering the box.  However i noticed that the prefixes so far are 1A/B going up to 4.
Thanks a lot
Neville

Have you tried adjusting your current steering box to take the play out?

This guide covers the adjusting steering boxes, although it's not for a 126 but the principal is the same.  Check video from time 3.15 on
