With the price of 126’s going up in value 👍 what value have you guys insured your 126 for 🙂
-
I valued mine at £2k based on its new engine. If the bodywork was just as good I’d double that!
-
Mine has an Agreed Value of £3000 through Lancaster insurance. Agreed Value Fee is £18.00
-
Mines coming up for renewal, last year i put up the value to £2500 but the way 126 values are increasing i think they need to be higher ;)
-
Mine has an agreed value of £3,500 with the Heritage.
-
I know that I am in the USA so it is a little different but we have our 126 insured for about $5000 if I remember correctly.
-
I insured mine for priceless! ;)

Hi all,
I have a vaguely related question to this topic...
I see people doing all these fancy engine swaps and that, but no one ever talks about the cost of insuring that new little pocket rocket.
Does anyone have an prices they have seen or know anyone whose ACTUALLY completed a swap? :o
Cheers, Dan

Only seen two 126’s with engine transplants but they were still registered as 650cc so don’t know what they were insured as or if they had sva/Iva test :headscratch:
-
My 1976 series 1 has an agreed value of 5k
I just said 5k to insurance and they agreed!
Not sure if they would have valued it higher, but as I said 5k they just agreed

If your insurance company has not been informed of an engine transplant then your insurance isn't worth the paper it's written on. Major body shell modifications need IVA/SVA test otherwise there illegal.
