I have the 123 system fitted and it works really well, a tad expensive, not had any problems over the last 5-6 years. Others on this site have used successfully a system sold on eBay which seems easier to fit and is only about £40 ish the last time I looked.

I made an AccuSpark unit fit my bis and that works ok with no problems  ;)

If you are happy with the price of 123 ignition  - buy it.
It is very well made and I have heard the customer support is excellent.
This unit replaces all mechanical components with an electronic system.

The accuspark is much cheaper but uses the original bob weights.
The timing is mechanical but the delivery of the spark is electronic.

You can also move onto a modern coil as well for a bit more reliability.

i too am running accuspark
its interesting to set up when you have never had the car running
i found a BIS will run with 60Deg of advance! all be it a bit lumpy!

ive now set mine to 10 deg ,  with the vac advance removed - need to test the vac advance at a later date to make sure im getting another +8 deg (18 total at 3000rpm)
