Okay, here's a few pics, also if you could give me a bit of advice that would be great.
Car was registered in January 1974, so would this make it a 73 or 74?
What's the plastic part for, in four years haven't worked out yet where it belongs [emoji848]
Apologies for the photos, I'm no David Bailey...(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/cbe3a4d1cc727eedc5267c9b21b6f560.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/9709f306aa37f264d3efaf526bb6aebc.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/3cac2a78e07ec1c89e72bd1c80b1f92f.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/0a026578ee0076bb77088d86c3aaa664.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/cc9a7e148f8341c4457700ade07f43bb.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/d0843738aa794e85be1e8937aa84523e.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/7afcd07b51d63562540fe3224a604945.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170809/5b9de800efc9c1d05a51af3213577134.jpg)

I don't have a list of the chassis code and build dates for the early Italian made cars but if it was registered here in Jan 74 it must surely have been built in 73 given the time taken to ship it to the UK and the factory shut-down over Christmas.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure of production year dates...

This car is absolutely stunning 8). Where was it hiding?
It's an unusual colour too for an early rhd 126.
Sometimes there is a year and month stamped on the back of the rear seat which will tell you when it was manufactured. Fiat UK can also check the date of production for you.

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look behind the seats.
I was lucky enough to buy it from a friend who had it in storage for a number of years, who bought it from a friend who also had it stored for a number of years, who acquired it from the widow of the original owner who had the car stood for many years after her husband passed.
Not usually this lucky when buying cars [emoji20] only work it needed to get it on the road when I bought it was new brake lines and two tyres which had flat spots.[emoji3]
