So after finishing up my ignis sport, decided it was time for a new project and had an opportunity to buy one of my all time favorite cars, a fiat 126!
So here she is on the way home!

And as she stands today!

But this wasnt without already putting a little effort into her! Was rotten when i got her and needed a little tlc on the engine, heres a few pics to get everything up to speed:

All the rot was fixed by 'Angry Parrot Fabrications' would highly suggest anyone local to bath/bristol look him up :D
And fixed a few leaks on the engine and cleaned it up a little:

And thats pretty much where we are at
Engine still needs tuning up as its idling a little high, visually a lot needs to be done, lowering and a rattle can paint job is on the cards, then wheels etc to tidy her up, so watch this space :D

So not long untill mods started. Electric fuel pump and ignition were fitted (which was a nightmare) ignition power we took straight from the alternator as even the slightest drop in voltage and it wouldn't work (seems to be a common struggle why people thinking their units are fried when really they just haven't got the correct voltage. May do a better write up on this if people are interested) have a bracket on the engine itself for the fuel pump. Been running like this for 8 months with no issue
Had to remove he regulator though as it gave up and was spitting fuel all over my hot engine. Not good

Wheels and tyres next. Will let the pics do most of the talking

And how she was sitting with lowering leaf springs on as well

Bought a spare gearbox I was going to switch in but decided against it. Stole some parts to fix my speedo as it wasn't working when I got the car.

Thought the speedo drive was the issue but it wasn't. Upon opening my gearbox found the issue

Bearing that holds the gear in place had failed and was crushed into pieces damaging the gear in the process. New one on and speedo now works!

So with my engine and gearbox being near enough 100% decided to get the big guns out and tackle the paint work. I'll apologise in advance if this offends anybody. But here's my £60 paint job 😁

And this is where she sits now. Plans to drop the front another 10mm to get it sitting perfectly level. Spacers for the rear. Pressed plates and a splitter and she will be where I want her for now 😁

NICE! love it! :thumbup

New parts all arrived! Got shorter front shocks and going to shave 10mm off the blocks to drop the front a little more. Should have everything else on tomorrow so will take pics as I go 😁
-
So getting to the finishing touches (for now) pressed plates. Front splitter. Headlight surrounds and spacers all on! Pleased with how she's looking 😁

Popped headlight out. Cable ties. Popped back in. Job done 😁

All bits in before spacers

After spacers. Went 15mm as don't want to have to start rolling arches etc. Want to keep her fairly practical as planning some big drives in the future.
Now just shorter leaf spring blocks and air cooled rear shocks to fit the the front now and she will be sitting just how I want her 😁

New shocks. Lowered blocks and disc brakes fitted. Need to change the brake lines but then she's all finished! 😁
Also updated my electric fuel pump bracket but pics to come of that ☺ï¸

Seicento brakes to go on 😁
