Hi guys, I have unmounted the engine and changed all the seals and worn parts.
Here is the thing, when I sent the camshaft to rectify, they asked me for the valve seals, when I removed the valve springs and took them out, I didnt see any seals. So first question, do the valves have a seal? (Please God tell me not!)
Second, I was replacing the clutch and when I was removing the bearing spring, its hold by 2 kindda springs, one of them literally flied and God know where it landed, I didn't see it. I have been trying the whole day looking for it on the internet,on allegro and some other sites and no success...can you please help me?

I'm not sure about your first question, but regarding the clutch bearing spring, do you mean this:

first question is about the orings inside the valves guide, to avoid the oil to get into the cilinder.
second, yes, thats what I mean, but the shipping costs are 9eur xD

damn, its like 1 zl on allegro.pl xD
what about the first question? I need to know if the valves have orings/seals... when I unmounted them I didnt see anything but they might have been destroyed after 39 years without maintenance...

lol everything is cheaper on Allegro (the trick is translation and stock!)
As for your first question, which engine do you have?
-
Not sure on the air cooled but on the Bis they have valve stem oil seals on the inlet valves :)
-
,when I sent the camshaft to rectify, they asked me for the valve seals,
I appreciate I'm not familiar with the Bis engine (if indeed this is a Bis) nor with camshaft re-profiling etc, but can anyone explain to me what on earth valve stem seals have to do with the camshaft? Why would you need to know anything at all about the valve stem seals to regrind or profile a camshaft ???
-
no its not the BIS its the air colled Fiat 126 (1978)
I have found this on allegro:
http://allegro.pl/oring-zaworow-126p-fso-i6825197380.html
But again, when I unmounted the valves springs I didnt see anything... but I need to be sure just in case

Looks like only the inlet valves should have seals fitted.
-
The air cooled cars just had those simple O-ring seals on the inlet valves :)
-
damn it! need to unmount and mount the valves again :(

hi, can you please tell me where d these orings must be placed?
I dont see where should they fit.

do you know where should they be installed?
-
When the valve is pushed into the head then the o-ring pushes over the valve stem before you fit the valve springs :)
