Post by: Fat650 on January 22, 2017, 01:56:51 AM
Anyone know how to remove the electricals off the steering column?
I dont fancy breaking any of it to get it off.

If it's a BIS, the connections can usually be found if you remove the air intake grill on the driver's side. Unplug the steering from the loom and then push the connectors through the hole into the cabin.

No, i have an 88 niki.
I mean the black bit on the steering column with the blinkers and windscreen washer levers.

on my 1979, its a single plug into the loom.

Unbold the wheel, slide it off, then the stalks just slide off and unplug.

When refitting I'd recommend cleaning the contacts cause they do fail some times..

You may have to undo the cowling bolts. I think the loom may attach to one of the studs.
