My commiserations, Chris, I know the feeling - in my (worst) case my losses were nearly double yours (that wasn't a 126, but the feeling is the same!) and you reach a point where you really do want to cut loose and move on. Is the car still as the photos show it, or have you started reassembly of the other parts?

It's just a painted shell.

Its complete and has all the paperwork but the restoration hasnt been great! :(

I'm gutted and just fed up! Going to concentrate on my other 126 and my 900T

sorry to hear that  looks good too , the joys of restoration , ive hit a wall at the minute with my convertible minor and can t even look at  it  ,
