Title: Numberplate light again (with pics this time)
Post by: Gino on September 22, 2016, 05:06:09 PM
Hi, just to update my early request about the chrome numberplate light, I've now bought this light (pic attached) – you can see from the image in the owners manual (also attached, showing how to change the bulb) – this seems to be the correct light. But how does it attach to the bumper??? Please, if anyone with an early chrome-bumper car can help with a description, or even better, a quick phone picture, I'd be really grateful. Obviously I can just make some kind of bracket, but it would be great to do it properly as it's such an original car.

I have the same light unit on my '81 black bumper DeVille. The light unit sits into a bracket which curls round inside the bumper. Pretty much impossible to get to for more info without removing the bumper  :)
