Hello.

I've just purchased an MCA coupe that I will be restoring so I'll add a few photos as I progress. I could do with a little advice on the wheels/hubs if possible though. 

It has the later 126 hubs and brakes fitted already, however I would like to fit some early wheels with the wider bolt pattern.  Is it possible to do the 'reverse' of the normal 500/126 hub conversion?

I'm guessing I'd need to replace the hubs/stub axle and complete brake drum units for the early ones?

Or more simply, could an adaptor be made up to fit?

I believe you can buy adapter plates. I have seen them used on 500 disc brake conversions. I presume you can purchase the adapters.

An alternative is to use rear drums if they fit your front

looks like its been modified over the years, i believe it was built around a early 126 so would of had the older style of brakes since it had those nice wheels

Chassis is back and powdercoated. 
If ever anyone needs some classic car parts blasted/powdercoated I can highly recommend Maldon Shotblasting and Powdercoating in Essex.....
