Title: Hi from somerset
Post by: maxb on August 21, 2016, 10:51:51 AM
Hi all

Been looking at getting a 126p for a while now to go with the rest of my old eastern bloc vehicles and have finally bought one , mainly on impulse.

Needs a lot of work but its more of a project vehicle than a daily. the engine currently burns with thick blue smoke coming out of the exhaust and there is a lot of crunching with gear changes.

Looking at fully restoring it to original working order, removing all of the decals and repainting first before making it into a rally car, even if its just for the look.

Hi Max and welcome.

Look like you've got your hands full there.  What other vehicles have you got?

Hi Dan

I've got an UAZ 469 ( Ex soviet army's equivalent to the landrover ) which was basically a full nut and bolt rebuild and a Dnepr 650cc motorcycle spread across 3 garages.

I intend to slowly collect more eastern lumps of steel whenever space and funds permit.

Bought the fiat as it was cheep and seemed like a nice little project to work on over the next few years
