Title: gear change linkage
Post by: amam on May 22, 2016, 04:28:27 PM
well on another thread i said on my MCA kit car (based on a 79 aircooled fiat 126) is pretty difficult to engage reverse gear, trying to do it even when pressing the gear stick down it 99% of the time engages 4th instead of reverse

the whole gear change doesnt seem very positive

i tried to adjust the linkage as it says in the haynes manual but hasn't made much difference

took a closer look and you can even see some of the broken bush under the gear stick

im guessing this is the kit i need? and also is there anything else i need to improve it

Hello
from your own experience suggests seen on these items
The problem can be worn with a gearbox rod coupling (loose)
or gear selector, to exchange
gear stick rather will be at the end of the suspect
