hi guys, ive got a small problem with my drivers side door hanging too low and as a result, the door wont shut properly and is starting to scrape the paint off the sill...
anyone know any way of fixing this? ive been fiddling with it and have made the gap slightly smaller but its still ridiculously out of line...
any and all help would be great!
cheers
Dan

assuming the door pillar is sound, I'd get 2 hands underneath the end and try lifting the door up ;)

Ive hada look and the door is solid in its place (wiggle the door and the car moves) and the pillar appears to be sound! Believe it may be the hinges... ???
Cheers!!

Car door has always been like that, you can close it but it takes a bit of force... its because of the door hinges, I think it got a knock on the drive when we had it.

Aah okay that sounds fair enough, you reckon there may be some damage? Or just some new hinges might do? :)

As Pete said try lifting the door with two hands
I had to adjust mine this way, open the door six inch or so and lift at the back end
You dont want to do it with it fully open though

went back and tried what you guys suggested, opened the door about 6 or so inches, loosened the bolts, lifted up the door from the end and placed a bucket underneath to keep it there while i tightened the bolts again - i moved the bucket and the door just dropped again - definitely believe its the hinges as this is where the wobbling is coming from
thanks for the help though guys :)

If the pins in the hinges are worn you will have to repair
