Title: Won't go into 3rd gear easily / window keeps going down

Hey, hope this hasn't been covered before but couldn't find anything.  When driving, my 126 EL doesn't really like to go into 3rd gear.  It seems easier when I shift into 3rd when the revs are at a certain level, or strangely if i poo into 4th (with the clutch still in) and then go into 3rd this seems easier.  Has anyone had this issue before or have any ideas I can try?

Other small thing, it the window keeps dropping down by a few centimetres when rolled up.  Small thing I know but has anyone solved this before?

have you checked the snubber?

between the lever and the gearbox

Also check the condition of the two rear gearbox mounts, if there worn the engine/gearbox floats about making it difficult to select the gears sometimes

do you know how to double de clutch that would always help with diagnosis. I'm only saying this because you said it seems better at certain revs.my gearbox played up with 3rd and 2nd a bit and it was the dog teeth on the gears were worn so I just rebuilt the box.
