Hello,
Trying to get a spark on a Bis, it is fitted with a Magnelli Marelli dizzy, or at least thats whats on the plastic cap. The other Bis i have has the Zelmot type so wiring is different.
I have power to one side of the coil, and the lead from the dizzy/condenser upto the other side of the coil.
When i flick the points i get no spark at the points, but with a test lamp on the points, the lamp will flash when the points open and close.
Does anyone have any ideas why its not sparking?
Is there a crank/cam shaft sensor?

If the test light is on/off when you flick the points you have power to the distributor, has the Marelli got the plug leads on the cap? also if you've had the distributor out of the block it will need timing up again.

Ive not moved the Dizzy from the engine, so timing should be fine.
The only plug leads are from the Coil, the dizzy only has a wire from that upto the coil.

Have you tried another condenser

Also check and double check that all of the connections are in the right location on the contact points.

Yes have tried a new condensor.
I believe that all the connections are correct, does anyone have a photo or diagram i can follow?

I would try to clean the points up, or fit new points.
