Timeline for Retro Rides Gathering tickets.
We get asked often for ticket information, specifically dates when they are available or when they are being sent.
Weekend and Day Tickets will be available to people that previously purchased via the Retro Rides store on Wednesday 24th February. They will be then put on general sale on Friday 26th February.
All Ticket orders that have been received will be sent out on or around the Monday 1st of August. We will continue to sell day tickets up until Friday 19th August

Just spotted this on the RR forum, Better Be Quick
Weekend tickets are available in the store. 'early bird' was just early access to them. We've sold about 93% of our total allocation of tickets :o I expect the last few to gradually go out the door over the next couple of days.
-
PS If you buy your tickets and can't make it you won't have any problem re-selling them[emoji106]

Looking forward to this weekend. I'm a complete retro-rides newbie so I have a few naïve questions.
I have booked the club126uk stand with 12 places lets see if we can fill them :$
Do we still get the stand if it's only half full?
What happens during each day?
And at night do we just bring camping equipment and sleep next to our cars?
-
Do we still get the stand if it's only half full?
Yes I just have to give them the final places we need
At night do we just bring camping equipment and sleep next to our cars?
Yes bring your camping gear and a warm sleeping bag
What happens during each day?
The campsite opens at lunchtime, bring food/beer for Friday: evening there is a shop in the village but its cheaper to buy in the big supermarkets, We eat and have a few beers/drinks and socialize with our fellow retro riders, Saturday: - Breakfast and shopping in the morning then chill eat and drink the rest of the day, Sunday: show Day
-
Still have a spare ticket if anyone needs one!!

Part 1 of the journey down today: Orkney to Glasgow
Going to stay here a few days before commencing Part 2 on Friday (Glasgow to Worcestershire)
After fitting a new starter, new pump and new engine and carb gaskets, the BIS made it without breaking down!
Although there's oil spilling from the carb onto the rocker cover... so the carb gasket didn't last long (or would it be something else I wonder)
Will be taking it to the garage on Monday to fit new gearbox mounts.

Left to Right: Ferry, foggy Caithness, just north of Inverness and somewhere in the middle of the Highlands
-
That's an epic journey, The oil will be coming up through the breather its common and nothing to worry about its usually the rubber gasket on the metal housing on top of the carb that isn't seated properly, check the oil level isn't too high
See You Friday ;D

I was hoping to come to Retro Rides this year, but I'm not going to get my new starter motor installed in time for the weekend.
Will go to Kop Hill Climb event in September instead.
-
Won't make it this year sorry boys and girls :-X

Part 2 of the trip down to Retro Rides. I would have posted this when I arrived at the campsite but I didn't have a computer, so formatting/resizing the photos into forum thumbnails wouldn't have been easy. Not to mention the lack of phone signal.

Left to Right:
- Although I can tolerate and even get used to the motorway engine noise, past experience has taught me that it'll start ringing in your ears once you go to bed/a quite room. The ear plugs are quite effective in stopping this.
- Hello England
- Cumbria seemed to have the most scenic part of the M6

We had three BISs, two 650s, Carl's insane slammed contraption and Lina's rather funny looking 126 ;)

Thanks Carl for bringing your 126 along it certainly was a crowd stopper...
