Title: Front crankshaft bearing carrier
Post by: Bambino126 on December 12, 2015, 04:17:39 PM
I'm trying to change my front crankshaft bearing carrier, but after getting the old one out I'm finding that they look different in that the old one has 2 large washers built into it.
I've probably got to swap them over onto the new carrier but I'm not sure how to remove them.
They move side to side and rotate but don't come out.
Am I missing something really obvious here?

If your talking about the washer in the center on the L/H picture, That pushes out and pushes back into the new bearing, below is a picture of the washer/oil seal

Just watch that retaining clip as it`s likely to break. At least I`ve broken few :$
