I've got flattened leaf spring on my bis and want to go even lower but there's a little tac weld on the nut and bolt. Is there any way of cutting it off without damaging it?
-
Which nut and bolt?
If you want to go lower you can try using thinner mounting blocks for the leaf spring.
-
It's the one that goes through all the leafs in the middle
-
That one isn't supposed to be welded :-
Maybe somebody has done a repair?

Front leaf spring should be lovered through hammering, rear springs cut off. Shock absorvers Bilstein on polyurethane pillows when planning driving fast on truck. On road standard shocks are okay.

Funnily enough a leaf spring I acquired from gadge the nut looked to have a tac weld on it.
