Hi all, I know this topic has been discussed before but not sure if we got a difinitive response.
What do we all think about a calendar? I've done one recently for the Skoda Club and its come out really well.
I would be happy to put it all together if we got 11 others that were happy to send me some photos of meetings and their cars in high res images.
Vistprint currently have a 50% off offer on all wall calendars, can get 10 for £42 + P&P which was £7.95.
Thoughts?
If enough people are up for it, I will design and order them and post them out, will aim for making 0 profit so would be around £6.50-£7.00ish including postage?

What I'll do is, for the people that are in and would like one, I'll start the calendar on Sunday and hopefully have it done as soon as, so I will order as many as we need and then see what the price is afterwards if thats ok?
I'f you'd like to email me your photos to [email protected] and I'll see about including them, dont worry if its a little dark or whatever, I will use photoshop on them :)
If you would like anything special i.e number plates blanking out or whatever then thats cool too, I can sort that out.
Cut off point will be sunday evening and that will give people chance to get some photos pinged accross and sorted.

Great, will get it sorted! Martin from 126fan has sent me lots of pictures too so we just need all our 126's all polished and tidy and good to go.
My idea is to have a collage front cover, single cars for months and then a restoration page/collage of pics for december for our winter projects!
Any other ideas welcomed! :)

As I'm sure you know, Axel Gerstl also do a Fiat calendar, largely for the 500 but they do sometimes feature the 126 and 600. I suspect some members may be getting the AG calendar too, so it might be worth seeing what sort of layout and theme AG have, and then aiming for something different, so that folks buying both don't think you've simply copied AG's ideas.
Sorry, I can't offer any HD resolution pix, only box brownie standard. but count me in for one too.

33 hours door to door , quickest time ever and now in New Zealand. Not had much sleep but a callender seems a good idea Chris :)

I wasn't aware that they do make a calendar, I will have a look, ours will be a more personalised Calendar which is good I think :)
Does that mean you would be wanting one Rusty? 33hours is quick?! Crazy! Have a good trip!
We are up to 15 now, 16 including Rusty, which is not bad really! I'm very happy with the interest in this :)

Ok, the Calendar is almost all put together, I have 2 spaces left for photos which are December and September, I've had lots of photos from people which is brilliant!
December I was thinking of a restoration month and then the next person to send me a picture will take Sept..
If anyone has any restoration photos that they would like to see on the resto page then email them over please, going to make a collage of all our restorations!

Please do, Ladislav. All I would say is that out of 12 photos, having one of a kit car (or any similar variant) is perhaps a disproportionate representation. I would imagine for the first calendar the overall 'brand image' might be best to showcase the 126 as just that - the 126.
Then perhaps a future year could showcase derivatives and variants, such as kit cars, race/rally cars, engine swap cars, rag tops, custom chops (eg Lil' Rod) and that sort of thing.

I agree to a point, but at the same time as a club, we have lots of variants on the 126, that aren't necessarily 'kit cars' as such but aren't strictly 126's :) There are restoration images, single car shots and multiple car shots too.
There is only 1 'kit car' as such in the calendar, which is 126fan's the rest are 126s :)

Ok all, the Calendar is finished, I haven't had the room to put in a restoration page due to having lots of interest with photos!!

We have 21 in total so far that need to be ordered, a couple of people are getting multiple which is why there aren't 21 names. I will give it a couple of days for anyone else to say they want one or if they dont then I will order them..
Now I wonder if anyone could help, AvB has said that he would like one but in Cuba they do not have any way of making internet payment, any ideas from anyone how this could be sorted?

I've just checked out the Axel Gerstl calendar for 2016, and it features exclusively Fiat 500s. So may not be of great interest to folks in this Forum but anyway why not have a look:

It's only 8.90 euros (sorry, British keyboard, no euro symbol), and shows a white Giardiniera, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the first car I ever owned, except that mine, being kept in Scotland, crumbled to a pile of rust before my very eyes.. :cry:

Well mine came in the post yesterday, and I have to say I am *most* impressed, a very professional effort for such a bargain price. All credit to Chris both for the initiative and the hard work to get it all to happen :good:
And as a further surprise, I am delighted to see my car (well, Ladislav's really, let's be honest!) featured in October. Thank you, Ladislav, for that :)
Next year, in the spirit of Calendar Girls, will we have "Calendar Cars", with the unclothed owners tastefully and decorously draped in, over and around their vehicles with discreetly placed wing mirrors or half-opened bonnets to cover the parts that other calendars cannot reach ?
