another piece of my car has fell off . this being the guard that goes over the flywheel . question is do i need to fit a new one or can i leave it off and gain a fantastic loss of 50grams which has obviously improved my already fantastic performance levels ?

Seats, bumpers, carpets, door cards, lights. Heating.
Side window glass change for plastic.
Add rev counter, bucket seat, roll cage, 13'' wheels of a BMW normally and it's ready :)

I'd get a replacement or the clutch may suffer. A better way to lighten the car is, of course, to fold the seats down.... :D

obviously your car is already lighter as its matt black, therefore no heavy laquer to hold it down, however the lack of a shine will increase drag and therefore slow you down... also you should consider fiting some sort of device like Mr. James Bond had in his BMW to enable driverless operation, this will seriously reduce weight in your BIS

I was listening to the radio yesterday and there was a piece on the environmental impact of england flags on cars (I kid you not). Apparently 2 flags x 70mph x 1 hour = 1 extra litre of fuel!
So despite all the sneering at the flags, they are in fact a cunning way of removing rivals Holland from the worldcup. Fly flags - burn fuel - raise emissions - raise global temperature - raise sea levels - bye bye Holland (and most of south east england and Humberside, but no real complaints there). :D

I will tie 2 blankets to my car today  And drive with the handbrake on. just to make sure I won't even fold the seats flat!!
