Hi there, i've had my air cooled for a year now. My son learned to drive in it and thrashed it round west sussex, (including a trip to cornwall in it).
He's decided it's not cool enough for him and has traded up so i've decided to restore it to a reasonable condition. I had an aircooled from new in 1978 and loved driving it. A move to Australia meant it's sale and until last year I had to make do with restoring motorbikes. Since buying this one owner, 20,000 mile B reg aircooled, i,ve fitted a new clutch and replacement engine and gearbox, so ONLY the body and running gear to sort out!!! Watch this space.
