I’ll try my hardest to keep the forum up and running for as long as I can. It’s a real shame that social media has kind of taken the wind out of the sails for most car forums.

Yes, still here. Although I must confess I also haven't logged in for a long time, and have been distracted by Land Rovers! The days of car forums seem to have died off, and social media as Chris said has taken over. I used to love being able to use the Tapatalk app on my mobile, but sadly that doesnt seem to work anymore!

This forum must never die! It is one of the biggest and best collection of Fiat 126 information available.

If you ever need help to keep it running give us a shout.

Great to be back though and see some of the OGs still here!

I've logged back in here for the first time in years! I've still got my Fiat 126 and restoration should be starting in the next year or 2. Unfortunately I don't think I will ever part with him, I've had him for 15 years now. When the restoration is done I'll probably log back on here and post pictures though! I intend to keep him the same pale yellow colour, and do a safety upgrade on the brakes by changing them to discs, as I think we can all agree the drum brakes are... scary at times!

Yes, the main thick feed to the starter has no power.

are you referring to the thick electrical cables or the thin cables on the starter solenoid?

Ive done a bit more checking and the main battery feed from the  battery is the problem. Power is coming from the battery and into the connection block under the bonnet and into the loom but at the back on the starter side i have nothing.

There are no fuses on the starter motor circuit. Engine earth ok?

If it is I would suspect it's something to do with the circuit from the starter motor to the solenoid.

So turns out its not my starter motor 
My fault as i should have checked but in my defence i have been having starter problems for a bit with intermittent turning over that i thought was a starter problem but ive installed the new reconditioned one that give me the same problem only to test and find out its the main power to the starter thats the problem 

Is there a main fuse to the starter before i just run i new cable to it, ive looked  but didn't see one, cheers
